My husband got me a black long nose shark platy and a tetra a couple weeks back. I have noticed that they both have grown since then, but my black platy seems to be getting fatter than the tetra and its behavior has been weird lately. I have done some research on how to tell if it’s male or female, but its bottom fin is too small for me to really get a good look at it, and with it being a black platy I can’t tell if it has the dark spot that the females have. I’m just worried because I have several guppies and a few more tetras in the take I don’t want the babies to be eaten if my platy is pregnant.
