And even though I know intellectually that kidney disease is usually asymptomatic until it's critical, I felt so very guilty. Autumn, I suspect that no amount of logic will remove the guilt that you feel, so I'll suggest a different way of looking at it that helped me. The two of you had a special bond; she was your friend and soulmate. So I'm sure that she would want you to be at peace with yourself. Also, if and when the time is right, giving a home to another cat who needs it is a nice way to honour her. | |
