Ideally they should not see the deterrent before jumping. If you want you can draw out your apartment, maybe I can help you relocate your trees with a visual. | |

My only fear is that due to the items on the shelves, if they do get spooked from say the foil or tape there, they would end up running into things and knocking my whole shelf over (these are wall mounted shelves). The cat tree is actually slightly taller than my shelves in my room and unfortunately it is also within a couple feet of the shelves but it is the only place I can put the tree. | |
